Our 2026 presidential bid was mired by irregular electoral politics and obstruction that saw some parties and all independent aspirants barred from fair nomination proceedings. Even though we obtained the requisite number of votes in the required number of districts and had all of our requested paperwork in order our nomination was still blocked. Even so, we pivoted quickly and I was officially nominated as a candidate for Member of Parliament for Nwoya County in Nwoya District on October 23, 2025 and will run for Parliament in the 2026 elecion while better continuing as a presidential aspirant for the 2031 election.
